Hey guys
I'm trying to do the KC Dragos Foglight daytime running light mod (I'm in Canada and just got a US TT). In the article it uses a Mini 12VDC SPDT 10A relay with a 30mA 400ohm coil. 125VAC contacts.

I've no idea what the relevance are in all these. I'm given a Prolink SPDT40P which is basically a regular size SPDT relay with written specs of NO:40A/14VDC and NC: 30A/14VDC.

My question is if I could use the relay given to me with no problem? My biggest concern is the Ampere difference. What effect would it have on the system compared to a 10amp relay?
