Default Remove the chip?

So, my turbo is broken (chipped blade) and I know many of you look at that as a chance to upgrade but I just bought the car so I'm kinda broke. I found out that since I live in CA the turbo is normally covered for 7 years. So I have a couple questions:
(1) Will Audi know my car is chipped?
(2) Will they honor the warranty if they do know?
(3) Is there any way to remove the chip or otherwise make it so that Audi won't know the car was ever chipped?
Thanks a lot for your help.

Audi could find out your car was chipped if they really wanted to and yes there is a chance they could say no to covering this if they find out the car is chipped. You do not want to try and take this chip out the best thing for you to do is find someone in your area and see if they will switch ECU's with you for a day or so while your car is in the shop also if you do find someone the car will have to be exactly the same as yours or else it will not work

A chip is exactly what will void the warranty on a turbo. It directly affects the physical action of the turbo and increases the work load. Audi would have a legal right to deny any warranty service on the turbo and resulting problems.

Your warranty is done, hypnotiks. Chip that sucker.
Turbo falls under a 7 year warranty in Calif because of emmisions I think.

So if I were to switch ECUs, there is no way Audi could tell the ECU isn't MY stock ECU? Also, how exact does the match have to be?
