K i kno some chips remove the speed limiter, and some the rev limiter is moved to like 7,100 or something. My question is even though it is moved....is it still safe to acclerate into the redline? If you drive your car hard and are always putting it into the red isnt that gonna wear down your engine really fast?

i was hitting 8k rpm everyday for about 6 months with no issues, its fine. I recently did a compression test and everything is still great and I have 90k mi. Dont worry about it. Your car wont make much power up there though

well i was just asking...i dont push the red line in my 2.8 about to hit 110k soon.

 

I shift early on my car always have. I'm shifting on hard driving rright before the red, but most of the time I drive easy. As Tom said they don't make much power up there.
