Removing amber inserts in headlights?
it's a 2001 A4 and i've got the 1 piece headlights on it.........
instead of buying the euro-lights is it possible to just open-up the headlight assembly and remove the amber piece in there?
if so, does anyone know how?
and why in the hell are the euro-lights called "e-codes"?

European-code is the standard which decides the light pattern. Much like DOT regulates the light pattern of our lights.
E-code's throw a much different pattern of light that is signified by a prominant cut off point of light.

I'm kinda bummed it seems so hard to do (remove that insert) for a person that's not to mechanically inclined. Maybe I'll get a shop to do this, but then again, I'll be wasting money on stupid things.
Don't you know anybody who's good with a drill? If not..there's a ton of those personal ad websites out there...hop to it! Oh also..while you're at it..I highly recommend picking up a car monkey!
