removing amber from headlight housing process?
Hey guys,
i saw a thread on some site once regarding removing the amber pieces from the headlamps to give it a clear look. They had mentioned something about putting in the oven etc..
I was wondering if anyone knows the process or has a link to a step by step on this. any help would be great. thanks.

yea you have to bake the entire headlight housing in the oven... not sure of the temp or time... i will find a link to where i saw it. this loosens the glue so you can take it apart. the problem with this is getting a good tight seal when its time to bake it shut. most of the time it isnt done properly and moisture ends up in the housing causing problems left and right.
i knew I saw it somewhere. heres a link tothe forum i use to go on for lancers when I had one. theres a guy on there that did angel eyes and had to open the housing. its not the same car but the same concept.
