i just want to pop out the lens, and i have the bentley cd so i know the process involved. i just don't want to damage the internals. and i'm pretty sure i'm going to need a new gear (the mirror adjusts vertically but not horizontally), anyone know if you can you buy just the internal components?

 

look on ebay and buy a used mirror unit.

 

adjust it by hand honestly how much do u adjust ur mirrors once they are set ?
