wtf is attaching this thing to the car? i removed the torx bolts and rivots from the wheel wells, and the 6mm hex bolts. so what else is attaching this thing to the car? does the crash bar come out with it? cause there's a hose running in there...

 

ok i guess there is nothing else, the bumper is just in a track? how do i get it out of the track? i read a post where someone said you just need to put some "stank" on it. Aforementioned "stank" was applied but bumper is still on[&o] so instead of forcing it, how do remove it from the track the right way?

 

the bumper slides forward about an inch but then stops...i dont get it

 

this stupid track is pissing me off. so im supposed to pull out and up? it doesn't want to pull out and it'll only go a tiny bit up before it hits the fender...

Its the same as the A4 bumper, yours is probably just broken. You need to pull down, then up and out. It takes a hell of a lot of force.

 

i feel like i am going to break it. so why down, then up? or is it down, pull it out, then up?

 

it doesn't really want to go down. i can pull it out until it like just clears the fender, but i feel like im gona break it

 

why does this DIY make it so much more complicated than all the other guides i have found? do i have to do the 10mm bolts underneath the headlight?
