Repairs caused oil leak!?
Hello,
I recently had some repairs done on my 2008 Audi A4 Quattro. They put a new cam adjuster on and replaced a valve cover gasket. They used the old tensioner because it "seemed to still be okay".
Then, a few days after, I realized my car was leaking oil. I've never leaked oil before, and I know the valve cover gaskets can be a common culprit.
It only leaks when the engine is hot and I've been driving and for a little after the engine has been shut off as it cools down. It's all over the bottom of the engine, tubes, oil pan, etc. It's not a simple leak, it's EVERYWHERE.
I'm attaching pictures... Should I tell this repair shop that they better fix the problem they created? Should I try an engine stop oil leak solution?
Help me!!!!! Lol
Thank you,
Doran
