RE: Replaced my Secondary Air Pump last night
Thats up to you - if the CEL bothers you then fix it (I would fix it anyway)... the problem with ignoring it is that if an actual problem occurs that throws a CEL, your CEL is already on - and you are already ignoring it.

Yeah they are not cheap - no good to really buy a used one either (unless it was super cheap) - since it could die at any moment. But if you really can't afford new, try a junkyard.
Just MAKE SURE it's the same part number. Over the years there have been changes to the pump as well as how it is attached to the car.

The code it can throws is a P0411. I went round & round with mine. I replaced the vac lines, pump & both combi valves. It turned out the the vac check valve going to the solenoids was restricted. Once I changed it I never had the code come back!

RE: Replaced my Secondary Air Pump last night
Tis the season... My air pump has been making noise for about a month now when i start up.. Goes away real quick if i drive off shortly after starting.. But the longer i let it sit and warm up the longer it takes for it to shut up.. No cel yet though.. Is everyone sure that there is no way to somehow rebuild it?? Thats pricey for something so stupid and hardly necessary.
