If you get a Jetta, do a Getta swap (GTI front end on a Jetta - fenders, bumper, hood and headlights). Makes them look so much better in my opinion and not as gurly.

trust me im gonna try to do everything i can to get a B6 1.8T, and then get a sweet magnaflow exhuast and a chip on it. And hopefully if possible sway the wheels off the new car with my old one so i can keep my rims.

I decided im desperate but not that desperate. I mean i could always get a 2001 B5 1.8T if i had too. I may get a quote on fixing evrything (im thinking its gonna be around 3k thou b/c im guess all new bumper (1500), new gauge cluster (500) and then the normal service and labor.

What about a B5 S4 with somewhat high mileage? I've contemplated all this so much before buying my car so I was probably in the same boat as you. Althought I knew if I was getting a 1.8T; it had to be a B6, if it was gettin an S4, it was going to be a B5 with high mileage (for financial reasons) and if it was a VW, it had to be a GLI.. IMO I'm not a fan of GTI's at all but the Getta conversion def looks good.

I've said it before....

They may be the same company, but they are NOT the same car.
Audi. Please. For the sake of the children.

Does anyone have any input on jettas. Im looking for like a 2001-2004 Jetta with the 1.8T in it. Of course manual.

Any ideas, i mean how girly is this car? I know by me usually only girls drive them. Also i see that they have a K04 for this car that will give it 245 hp an d285 lbs/ft TQ, is that the same that a B5 1.8T gets with a K04?
If you are used to four doors, then you'll want a Jetta instead of a GTI. But, a GTI seems to handle better. However, neither are like a B5, so I strongly suggest you drive one before deciding, especially if your B5 has the sport suspension. Also, B5s are easier to work on than transversely mounted Jettas and GTIs.
