Does anyone know how to reset the remote key on the new A4 ?</P>


My keys keep losing there settings for some reason ! any ideas ?</P>


But I try to reset them but keep failing, brought it to the dealer and they fiddled around fro a while and managed to do it but I'd like to be able to do it myself. </P>

When you say reset, do you mean make it work with your car? Whats settings are you losing?</P>

 

The keys belong to the car but once in a while one, sometimes both will lose there settings ie cannot open or lock doors remotely.</P>

This works on my 98.5 - I am not sure about your model year.


You will need TWO of your "switchblade" keys to reprogram one or both of them.

If both of your remotes don't work, do the above for the first key, but on step #3, press the 'UNLOCK' button twice. The lights will flash twice, then continue on with step #4.
