Default retarded alarm system

i got my car back from the shop (cam chain tensioner replacement) and since i got it back the alarm keeps setting itself off for no reason. has this happened to anybody else? and does anybody know how to fix this very annoying thing? it goes off twenty seconds after i lock the doors. it's the stock alarm system and it's driving me nuts. i cant even sleep at night, because i like to park the car close to my apartment. please help... need to get sleep....and yes, i will talk to the shop on monday, but rather save myself the drive and six bucks in gas money and do it myself it it's easy enough.

try the motion sensor button on the driver side panel right behind the door (under the seat belt). hold it for 5 seconds i think. i donno though, thats what ive done and seemed to work whenever my windows were down and the alarm went off.

yeah, with that motion button on my car alarm would go on with the windows rolled down and there was a little wind. I didn't even know about it for a long time, but im assuming your windows are up at night unless your dumb so its probably a diff. problem.

I happended to my car spontaneously. Id suggest opening and closing all doors, hood and trunk. That worked for me.
