Glad you like your. Most folks I've talked too over the years don't like their Bose systems at all. My father is an Audio Engineer who developed the Monsoon system that GM had. VW put that in some of it's models if you recall. He also worked with Audi, but they decided to go with Bose instead. Bose sacrifices good sound by trying to place the imange in the center of the dash. I'd rather have a more natural sound and the stock system is easier to mod.

JL is the way to go. I've got 2 12W3V2 subs, 2 XR component sets, 1 300x4 JL amp, 1 500x1 JL Amp. Pioneer "Premiere" Head Unit, I hate it, someone buy me a new alpine.

if you don;t have the bose, you have conventionally ohmed speakers and you can simply add an amp and it will sound good. The bose speakers are not conventional and sound like crap when you run an amp through them (other than the Bose amp). In Bose, if you want to upgrade your sound, you must replace everything.

 

What Kind of amp Can i add To non bose and where to get it

 

You can add any type of amp to a non-bose system. You can get line level outputs from behind the radio to get the signal to the amp. Put the amp anywhere you'd like. My 2000 A4 has a 6 channel amp and a high end EQ with 2 10" ADS Subs. I put MB Quarts in the front door and rear deck. The car rocks. My dad brought his laptop and some test audio CDs and tunned it for me. When you have a multi-channel amp / EQ and some decent speakers, you can dail in some amazing quality into the system.

Just be thankful you didn't get the Bose option. It's so proprietary, you'd end up ripping out everything. At least with the stock system, you have a lot of options.
