Default Reving engine launch with Triptronic???

Just wondering if any of you know how or if there is anyway of reving the engine then launching the car at a higher RPM then idel using the TripTronic Transmission (Thats the only thin I don't like about it.) I have heard of brake stands, but doesn't that ruin stuff pretty quick???

Its an automatic - if you want to launch get a manual.

Yeah I know brake standing is not good. i don't do it. And really it is terrable, just it doesn't go fast util I hit about 2300-2500RPMs. Any other suggestions other then getting a manual? I just bought this car and don't want to sell it right away. LOL

i use to do it all the time with my passat.. probibly why there was a massive amount of metal fragments in my tranny when i did the lube change.. i use to hold the ebrake till i got full boost and then release the ebrake.. it was FWD and use to burn out rather hard.. then once in a while if i was feeling frisky right when the tires broke loose after i released the ebrake i would then reaplay the ebrake and do a break stand..lol
I almost got arrested for doing that at a party at unconn a few years back..

LOL, thats not good. Oh and with the quattro, if you engage the e-brake does the tranny disengage the rear wheels? meaning does it still send power to them even with the e-brake on or does it just send power to the front? Thanks.

indeed, only way to launch a tip is to hold the brakes, bring the revs up to 2500 and let go as soon as it gets to 2500.stock stall converter is 2500 so u dont wanna pass it with the brakes held.

You might want to do a price check on a new/rebuilt tip tranny before you go acting stupid.
