You might want to do a price check on a new/rebuilt tip tranny before you go acting stupid.
I don't do that right now, I was just wondering if there was any other way. Also what breaks when you do a brake stand? Just wondering.

It is not good for the tranny to do brake stands, since it is trying to move the car but your brakes are preventing it from rolling.

The tq converter and flex plate take serious abuse when doing brake stands. They eat each other up and deteriorate. This causes lots of metal filings in the tranny fluid which not only wears the gears, but clogs up your tranny filter, restricting fluid circulation, which causes strain on the tranny fluid pump and blah blah blah, its a bad chain reaction of events...

Buy a Manual Car.... Unless a wife is stopping you from having one you have no 'excuse' not to drive like a man

Onepoint8t, tell your wife if she doesn't let you have a manual car you'll give her no sex for a month! haha, I know this would work against yourself... but after a while she has to give in! haha

Have you checked to see if there is an aftermarket stall available for your tranny? Perhaps one of the major stall makers already has a stall that will work for your application. Or they can retool your stall for a higher speed. You might want to verify how much your tranny can reliably hold before trying this. In the V8 world stalls are great for quick 60' times. Add quattro to that and you should have a nice combo there. Assuming your tranny can handle it.

Only an idiot would do this.

p.s. I'm an idiot. (Although I do NOT recommend it and I do NOT make a habit of it. 4 times in 8+ months of ownership......)
