I've always like Bridgestone Potenzas, really good grip, better than stock anyways. These will be my next tires, these stock Contis sucks cheese
Yeah, I forgot that I had an outstanding pair of Potenzas on my first BMW and then they discontinued the particular model I had.
When I got my next BMW I went to put those on and they were no longer being made.
That's how I ended up with the Kumho's and didn't like those much, so I switched to the Yokohama tires and used those the last 2 times I replaced the tires.

I'll have to look into the Potenzas. I remember them being really solid tires that had good grip.
I think the ones I had were the RE930's and they replaced them with the RE730's and the 730's were too expensive for me because they had just came out.

I actually like conti's high performance tires... but they have the lifespan of a housefly.
That being said... if you're after something budget friendly, I just picked up some General Exclaim UHP's... they are #1 in their category on tirerack.com, beating some far more expensive tires. I say they have a soft sidewall... but other than that, they are quiet, awesome ride, good traction, and very good treadwear... plus a good looking tread pattern.
I've also heard many good things about the AVON tires from tirerack. Never used them, but have only heard good things.
