Alright looking to get a new roof rack this year to gear up for the winter and to carry two bikes.. what would you guys recommend

i vote for the yakima. they have the best stainless steel locking skewer.

the yakima has the rounded load bars.. and Thule has the more oval ones..

And saris has sweet oval ones, that are uber aerodynamic and sweet looking... the self centering feet did it for me though.

Oscar with the silver b6 had asked me about racks, and he went with a saris... PM him -- he got a good deal somewheres in the US of A. I'm in Canada, so can't help with where to buy.

Yeah, I used to wanna do that... I still do, but don't ride nearly as often as I did when I was like 17 18. I might move to BC when I go to graduate school...not sure yet - that's 4 years off. :P

I've owned both Thule and Yakima. Both were good. I just got a Yakima for my Audi a month ago. It all works well. The Saris seems to be more areo...fits closer to the roof line. But Yakima made sense for me, lots of attachements and easy to find. You do get wind noise at highway speed. I put on some surfboard pads, and the wind noise disapeared.
