Just recently i picked up an 03 audi 1.8t 5 speed quattro. When i shift at 3k, the car seems fine. If i take the car to 4k or 5k, let go of gas and push int he clutch to shift gears the rpms spike a lil bit.. is this normal? This is the first stick car i owned and it has 38,700..i put roughly 700 miles on it.

Thats normal when you push in the clutch you take load off the engine also you release boost making your crank rotate easier. Thus RPM's increase.
