the tip chip does make it a little strongetr cuz it puts more line pressure out and reduces slippage which is what causes the trannys to go **** up..

LOL, ok thats for the help everyone! I have contacted a few people from AW that are running the pc-16 file and the tip tranny. Everyone of them has said that they have been using it with no problems. One guy has put over 7000 miles on his and hasn't had a problem yet! So i have decided to go ahead and do it! I am also going to make a paddel shifter for the steering wheel! (That will take a while but I will keep you updated as I progress)

LOL, I am working on it. I am thinking about makeing a thing/but strong enough fiberglass thing that I can mount to the back of the steering wheel and then use the existing wires for the button shifting and use that on the paddel with a few microswitches. I have done a good amount of fabrication and a LOT of wireing so I know electronics and fab. The only part I will need to practice on is the laying of the fiberglass but I have found a few good tutorials on how to do it right.

Sounds good. Just remember f/g ruins everything it touches, dont apply it to anything you wont want permanent.

I find that making a mold 1st works best, then you can stretch the material over it nice and tight and then apply the resin to it and strengthen from the inside.

Yeah, I am not going to be laying the fiberglass directlty to the back of the steering wheel! I will lay masking tape down first and then apply the fiberglass over that. There is a place to screw the paddle shifter to the back of the steering wheel so thats what I will do.

I'm back, sorry I've been in a test for 8 hours. yuk. The whole center console piece around the shifter boot (if you will) just pops straight up. Then you can get the cover with the gears off.

Yea yours' looks way different. But the process is still the same, you just need to figure out how to get that thing apart. I would imagine that it just pops off like every other audi plastic part.
