How long have you been running it? Any wierd things happen?

How many different roads are you gonna take paintball. You were talking about getting a K04 for your current car, then you said no... then you were discussing a level 10 tranny, that never went anywhere... Then you said you think Tip is boring and your looking for a S4 or A4 in 5 speed online, and you would mod that up cause modding a auto is worthless. And now your set back on the tip, its pretty annoying to post every thought process you go through, find something, make a choice, ask for help.[&:]

I don't see why you'd wanna risk your Trannys life in the first place? If it goes, then what are you left with? Will it be worth that added power when it all falls on top of you because you didn't take the nessecary steps to prevent it..... sigh

 

before i sold my 2000 A4 I put 62,000 miles on it with the K04 J-31 file and tip chip spking at 27psi and 308wtq and I had no problems with the tranny. My new A4 which is a 99 has a K04 PC-16 with custom tune (18,000 miles) spiking at 28psi and holding at 21psi and the tranny is fine and I don't even have a tip chip yet and so far its fine (going to AWE April 10th for tip chip)

 

I know I know... But I am actually going this way now. I have already started buying the parts. (So now there is no going back and I AM actually doing what I said I will.) SO anyways I have been looking around and there are a good amount of people who are running the same set-up that I am looking at running and they are not having problems. So I am going for it. If I start to feel anything weird with the tranny i can always back it down and just drive it really easy until i am able to level 10 it or sell it. I don't want to go through the hassel of getting a new car right now. So might as well use what I have!

What other mods do you have on your engine? Example(FMIC, injectors, exhaust, ect.)?

josh, how do you even get to the magnets. just pry off the shift cover??

i think the early 99 are not capable of just taking it off, you have to take off the whole center console and raido out and a lot of other things. at least that is what a repair guy said.
