i have a 2.8 a4 30v... and i was wondering why wouldnt a 00-02 catback system fit on my 01 2.8? looks identical to me..hangers tooo...anyone try this?

 

I can't imagine it would bolt up to the 2.8's exhaust manifolds. why not just get an exhaust that's made for your car?

 

a catback system doesnt bolt to your manifolds....... and the s4 exhausts are wayy cheaper then the 2.8's plus there are more available

 

i forgot to add...the passat exhausts can work as well..

 

my bad. I missed the "catback" bit, I do know that a catback doesn't bolt to your manifolds.

really? S4 exhausts are cheaper? that's crazy. more demand I guess?

that being said, if the hangers are the same, and the flanges mate up, I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work.
