From the sound of it thats no longer a problem.

 

No warranty at all[&:],Wanted to much(doesnt seem like much now)Only had the car for 5 months,Changed the oil a few times,Still looking at the car,Probally drain and change the oil again,Drop pan after that.....,Any suggestions on oil tratments

 

the pan is a biatch to drop on the b6's... something else has to come off.. i forget what it is.. ill have to check tonight..

 

Ok heres the latest,Drained the oil found no sign of metal,Did compression check oil pressure is fine,Sounds more like a rattle up in the top of the motor,Gonna pull valve cover on monday,Thanks for the replys guys

 

have you tried seafoam?

 

u still haven't told us wut engine u got lol. a rattle up top could be cam chain tensioner or lifters. auditech79, help is needed here!!!!

Tell tale signs of a sludge/oil circulation problem. Top end noise is the first symptom to get because its last in line to get oil pumped to it. Dont drive it.How exactly did you do an oil pressure test, and what were the #'s at what rpms? Start getting all your oil change records together, contact local dealers and give them your VIN to see if they have oil change records if you/previous owner dont. Oil change records are going to be very important when you battle with Audi to replace your engine for little or no cost to you. Im affraid its probably too late for seafoam.
