There is a specific way to enter the code. Call the stealer and they should be able to walk you through it. Also, try doing a search. This topic has been discussed about a zillion times.

The 4 digit code on that tag is your vehicle weight.. I know I know its probably 1740 or something. If my A6 weighed 1700 pounds it'd be sick. its in kilograms. so yeah. thats sticker means nothing for your code. Im in safe mode now.. Tried the weight.. no good. tried another codeI found written down. no good. so I called the dealer and got the #. Very easy. Had to fax my license and registration over but thats it.. problem is I tried leaving the keys on and radio off for an hour then trying the code again.. no good. thenI tried it with the keys in and radio ON and still no good. ****.. pain in the ***.. cars got the keys in it as we speak. errr type.. good thing i have a nice secure garage at work.

 

When they say to leave the key in with the stereo ON they mean take it for a long drive, my one locked up after the second go so we went of for a cruise and by the tme we got back it was back in safe mode.

I will look in the boot for a number and let you guys know

 

Update.
I tried a few codes and also the one in the boot by the spare wheel non of them work. Will have to go to the dealer and pay the money :-(
