Default Is it safe to paint the radiator?

I just installed a mesh grill last night and unfortunately you can see everything through it..when i had the stock grille, that wasnt even an issue..
I already painted the radiator frame all black, so the silver metal doesnt stick out like a sore thumb..my question is, can we paint the actual radiator (with the same HIGH HEAT plack spraypaint) or is it harmful to the radiator?
in my opinion, if everything was black, it would look much nicer...

Thank you for any feedback...

You have to use a paint that is designed for radiator use, (it's a lot thinner than regular spray paint), this way, the air flow will still be the same. Try looking at www.eastwood.com

Haha... I just put an rs4 grill on myself. Hood and bumper. There is a little exposure throught the bumper grill. Painted a couple screws that showed. From a distance you can't see anything but there is a hose connector that can be seen up close. Was gonna paint that too.

no painting the radiator will cause the radiator to dissapate heat less, and thats bad. I wouldnt recommend doing that.

well, that is why the radiator paint is recommended...it's very thin, allowing the air to circulate freely
i just ordered it 5 min ago and i'm looking forward to hiding the radiator through my new mesh grill

thanks again

If you have the complaints of ac not working or car overheating in the future i would suggest replacing the condensor or radiator respectively.
