Sarah's Audi 1.8T A4 Sport Showcase
[ol][*]I'll bet a left nut Sarah's car is NOT a sport model, not that it should matter because it's still a nice car. The "S" on the console has nothing to do with it. The wheel package and suspension do. And those are both not what a sport model looks like. Neither is the trim, which is aluminum on sports. There is no such thing as a B6 sport from model year 2003 on without the 17" 5-spoke wheels.[*]Painted lowers were standard to match body color from 2004.5 model on. Has nothing to do with anything except that from 2004.5 on, every A4 came that way. Prior to that, you had to paint your lowers yourself if you wanted them to match, or buy a used A4 that someone else already did that to.[*]Amze, I'm guessing yours is a sport. Look at shocks. Red or reddish brown are sport. Any other color is not. There is also a strut support brace up in front of the battery that is welded in. Non-sports don't have that.[*]Sarah, your car rocks and has great foundation for modding if you want to go that route.[/ol]EDIT: DOH, I didn't read page two, either.... don't let it affect anything by not being sport, it's still a nice car and mods will cancel out anything that makes it a sport model anyhow. Mine was sport, and nothing on it now would've made a difference other than the fact that I sold sport stuff off at a higher price than stock stuff would've went for when I upgraded it all.
And the headrest mod.... you just have to stick a paperclip or something like that down in there while pushing down on the headrest. Use the button on the side to get it down to the last click. Then the button won't let it go down the rest of the way so you have to stick something down next to the silver bar and push down on the headrest at the same time. Voila, no more silver bar.

Most people here drive manuals so they only think of sport as the sport suspension. Your car is a sport model as in it has the sport option for driving, and not the sport suspension. Just to clear some things up =)
Btw very nice car, and I love the color. You should be very happy.

I have two index fingers wheel gap on the top portion of the wheel... but I don't see any red in the back or near behind the rim.. am I looking in the wrong spot[&:]?
and thanks for straightening that out faquad.. lol @ "S" meaning sport.. retarded.

Not talking bout sportronic talking about S mode instead of D mode. There's an S and a D mode that I can choose to drive, no shifting involved. Just peaks at higer RPMs than regular Drive mode. I think the reason for my wheels being different is that maybe someone was bout to buy a used Audi on the lot where I bought my Audi but insisted that they have the wheels that were on my car or no deal would be made so the dealer took the wheels off and gave them to someone who didn't have the sport package. I did do a carfax of course before buying the car. It said it came from new york and regular maintenace has been done at the dealer....that's all.

Sigh that was such a dumb post from flarika... Majority of Automatic cars can be put in "Sport" to make them shift a little higher, etc etc.[&:]

I'm aware, I know what "S" mode does, but I never thought it meant the car was the "sport" version. and it turns out that it doesn't...

Thanks for all the nice compliments everyone. I am hoping to pick up a part time job at the tanning bed I go to so that I can pay off some CCs real quick and start a modding fund.
