the a3 is a compact version of the a4 right? what are the main differences between the two?

I guess it's about the same size as a VW gulf maybe? Maybe a bit larger.

i thought it was one of those low(er) cost, compact versions that everyone's been making (like bmw's 1-series)...but i didn't know they had the same engines as the A4s, that would make them pretty sweet.
