Default Scratching noise coming from front end

[sm=WTFsgign.gif] !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The noise started last night its a lloud scratching noise ... the sound is somewhat like the scratching noise you get when you need new brakes. And the plaque is hitting the rotors.
Checked the brakes and wheel etc.
Not the brakes or anything to do with the wheels. The noise happens when i have my foot on the accelerator. I ran the car in Neutral with the e-brake and it sounds like its coming from the bottom of the car... Pulley maybe ? HELP!
thank you in advance

hahaha... well the cat in my car must be trying to fight it because it keeps fighting back... and scratching the hell out of my car... On a more serious note though any suggestions as to where the noise is coming from?

Dunno.

Does it make the sound when the car is not moving but on and out of gear or do you only hear it driving?

If you can hear it when stopped and out of gear, can you get down under the car to try to pinpoint the location of the noise?

Is it a (high pitched) squeeling noise like your brakes make when you stop and your brakes are worn out or is it duller than that?

Is the noise loud or soft? Does it change as vehicle speed increases or as the engine is revved up?

I can't tell anything from the description so far. Maybe answering some of these questions will help us pinpoint the problem more easily.

I seriously had a squirrel burrowed in my car one morning...scratched like hell all the way to the office, i thought I was screwed. Then I saw the little F-er bolt out from under my car when I pulled into the parking lot.

But in terms of your dilemma, I have no helpful suggestions.

Dont bad turbo's make a sound like that? I remember someone saying that broken turbo's sound like a bunch of screaming baby's.

How are your belts? Try belt dressing and see if it stops.

Is there a diff. in performance?

Power steering low?
