Screwed at the Dealer?
Does anyone have any experience with end-of-lease wear at the Stealership? I have a small scratch that runs the length of the car, also there is a small dent on the frontbumper, and a noticable scratch on the back bumper. I dont want to pay for any repairs, and will likely take a gamble that this will be considered "normal wear." What do you think?
Body damage and scratches are never covered by the warranty. Only paint peeling, etc from a factory paint defect would be covered if anything - but I have never heard of any factory paint issues from Audi in the past decade. Try scratch remover.
It's a lease turn in and they will get you for everything. Your best bet is to take it to a professional detailer and pay the $150 for an exterior polish. A good detailer will be able to resolve most paint issues, and the $150 is far less than what they have the potential to get you for. Also, If the car is imaculate upon return, they'll see a car that's easier to sell, and as such they'll be easier on minor issues.
For ~$150 it would be worth every penny.

put yourself in their shoes, you "rented" the car from them and now it has damage that wasnt there before, they will dock you!
people rent cars from me all the time and get mad because they hit a pothole, nail or got a door ding and expect me to "take" care of it because it isnt THEIR fault...... well its not mine either, and it didnt have it on the car when i gave it to you!
sorry to rant.... just think of it from their side of it, they want to make $
get a good detail or buff the scratch... should help... but i dont know about the dent in the bumper, a $200-300 to repair and repaint it will still be less than what they would dock you im sure

Yea, the small dent in the front bumper is on the plastic/fiberglass corner near the right fog light. Probably $500 or more for a new lower bumper piece! Any ideas forfixes on that material?
