Default SEAFOAM WEIRDNESS

I bought a can of "seafoam", (carb cleaner)... i first tried to pour it right into the intake but my car will not stay running with the tube from the airbox off. I ended up putting half in the brake booster vacume line, which looked like it would go right into the intake manifold. and the other half in the gas. Im pretty sure the vacume line entry did nothing, and the gas at least looked to burn some carbon. Does anyone know if there is certain sensers that is stopping the car from running? what would be the best way to get that stuff into the right places? thanks!!

If you disconnected the big pipe on the airbox you lose flow thru the maf sensor which can cause the car to die.
