That part is $300 + to replace new. I would not replace it on a hunch.

 

so whats the next step after i turn on the car and listen for the whinning? this part will be covered by the dealer i got the car from if its found to be faulty. but what else could this be? I replaced the jet pump & L hose so far (from dealer i purchased from)

 

if you here the winning sound you air pump is working and I would suspect something else have you checked all the vacuum lines ?

 

physical inspection of the vac lines, i havent connected an air compressor or anything like that yet. just visual with eyes & hands,

 

O well definetly do this first cheap and easy fix

look at the ones underneath the intake people seem to miss those ones all the time

 

yeah there was no whinning when i did this... grrrr

 

well ok that sucks man start looking for a air pump then

 

luckily the dealer i bought it from is still liable to pay for this part. so hopefully he will cover it.
