I know I am late to the game but I still have to ask the question.

I just bought a 1999 Audi A4 Quattro 2.8L, Is there a chip for this car?

More HP and Torque is good, but what about the gas mileage? Say I get 40-50 more HP + 60/70 lb of torque. How will my mileage suffer on 91 gas?

You should probably list which is better at what and such. Get quite a few of those type of threads too.

first make sure the file runs on 91. im pretty sure that those files are 93 octane, unless you get a 91 program.

My car (details in signiture) has seen about a mile per gallon to two miles per gallon decrease in fuel economy after upgrading to the APR chip. But this might be because I drive the car harder now. Ultimately, mileage isn't the problem; it's your right foot and its desire to stomp on the gas every chance it gets.

So wait one minute. I just looked at APR and GIAC's numbers for the '01 Audi A4 1.8TQ and I see APR gets you from 170hp to 214hp and GIAC only gets you from 170hp to 208hp. Also, in terms of torque, the APR chip gets you 247 lbs/ft and the GIAC gets you 226 lbs/ft. How is the GIAC chip better? That said the numbers are all over the place. I took these figures from GIAC and APR's websites. I have seen different figures posted on AWE's site for the GIAC chip. I have the APR one and I absolutely love it.
