WELCOME TO PAGE 11!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
what? the wife's driving the audi?
good to know what comes first in your lives?
ok......... to exhaust for 600 bucks or not? cheese........... x-mas is coming up and i gotta save up
btw, my coworker is currently driving a Ford Focus SVT right now, he wants to get either an A3 or A4, so i've been offering him to test drive my car for a few weeks now. he finally took me on the offer, so i drove his car and he drove mine for a mile. he loved the power and everything on it, he's really wanting one soon...... like within the next month or so. neways, i got back into my A3 and he wanted to race me to see how bad he's gonna get beat. 1st gear, crazy torque, by the time i changed to 2nd gear, i was ahead of him by 2 car length, 3rd gear 5 car lengths, 4 gear, i didn't see his headlight anymore. i slowed down, he finally caught up, i think in that run, he's REALLY wanting an 2.0T now.
ok, so on the way home from that run with my coworker, i drove up on a new GTI on the freeway, i looked at him and his car, he did the same, i slowly speed ahead at 80 mph, he gets on my tail, i shove to 4th year and gasss it hard, i can tell he tried also, i'm pretty sure he wasn't chipped, by the time i hit 5th year, his headlights faded away, he's probably really wanting to chip his car now. hee hee. 2 kills in one night......... i know......... sorry, unfair race!!!! although i thought the GTI migtta been chipped.

I haven't spent anything on either the Audi nor the wife for the past couple weeks. However, my wife has been driving my Audi for last 2 weeks. So I think she won over the Audi.

sorry can't come to lobsterfest, but i'll be there for the gtg.
for those of you who saw this in the A3 thread, never mind this story:
So going home from work, i somehow got behind a Mustang GT with a Roush emblem on the rear, i pull to the next lane, still behind him, looks like he's got gauges up the *** on his dash. we go towards the straight away, i get on his tail because of traffic, his loud exhaust got louder and louder, he gasses it hard and so do I, still staying on his tail but can't get any closer. we hit minor traffic ahead, i pull up next to him and smile, then we exited different way. that guy's probably thinking " Damn, i spent $10,000 and i can't even pull away from a little tiny Audi?"
then a block away from home, i noticed there was a tweeked out R32 next to me. he come to a red light, i asked him if he wants to Run, while still looking at him, as soon as he said "yeah", the light turned green without me knowing, he beat me off the line on that run, then to the next light, we both rev up waiting for the green, it turns green, SHIAT MAN, that guy didn't even slip his tires, he gripped the rd sooooo easy while i was still spinning a bit, he got ahead for 2 car lengths, got on second gear and caught up to him, by the time i got on third, we were even, then i slowed down. he's probably got some $$$ under that hood and suspension
well, can't say i won any runs tonight, but nice to see how i compared so a Roush Mustang GT and an modded R32.
on another note, my co-worker that test drove my car........... he's gonna try to get an RS4...... if not, then either an A3 or A4 within the next month

tell your co-worker he should buy an RS4 because it will spend so much time in the shop, he'll get to drive a loaner A3 around all the time anyways

Speaking of RS4, there was a RS4 at Streets of Willow last Sunday. During the first run session, he was out there ripping it up. And since it was the Advanced group, there weren't that many cars on track. So I decided to go out and see how my little 2.0T would compare to the RS4. I asked the worker to let me go after the RS4. Let just say that his tail lights disappeared so quickly.
After that session, I spoke to the driver. He was pretty cool. The car wasn't his, it's got a manufacturer's plate on. He said that it belongs to some studio or something. I wish I know someone who can lend me a RS4.

i've owned the car for only 50 days and it's been to service because
1) the EPC light and CHECK ENGINE light came on
2) flapping noise in the exhaust from a valve that opened when it wasn't supposed to
3) thunking/rattling coming from the suspension, front and rear
4) auto up windows that keep triggering the "pinch guard" and keep lowering by themselves
i'm convinced my car was built on a friday after the beer and bratwurst buffet lunch...
if anything positive, i've spent alot of time in an A3 2.0T DSG and it's a zippy car. terrific daily driver with economy and fun packaged together. i love the 'wagon-esque' utility as i've hauled some furniture i know i wouldn't have been able to fit in my car. the only criticism is that while the DSG shifts quickly and smoothly at speed, from a dead start the car feels like its got an anchor attached to it till the turbo kicks in. short of powerbraking and spooling first before launch, you should consider getting a normal manual. your commute permitting, that's a good rule for ANY turbo car.
as for lobsterfest, i'll be showing up in some sort of audi product. with any luck, the RS4 will be in the shop and i'll have an A3 loaner again so we can all take turns flogging the living bajeezus out of the DSG in the canyons and sparing all your cars the abuse
