Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....LOBSTER!!!

I now reside in San Pedro and will enjoy the 5 minute commute. I also picked up some $2 off coupons from a local restaurant. Let me know if you guys want any of the coupons. It's for $2 off. Not a big deal, but ya know.

Cheers!

Tsunami - apparently the ur Rs4 & my S4 have more in common than I thought...
mines been in the shop as well..[&:]
recap of the past few months

first the coolant temp sensor - which was an easy fix...
Then control arms - were cracking... so those got fixed...
aaah more codes - this time for new MAF..
& just recently now it threw a code again - intermittent misfiring - so I need a new ignition module.

& Im not under warranty so no loaner!
YAAAAAAAY im broke. [&o]

but anyway - anyone else think Chef is DA MAN for getting feebies all day long?
I wouldnt be surprised if he was able to get free lobster dinners on lobster fest....

speaking of canyon driving in the A3, i keep forgetting to turn off the EPS on this thing. it's interesting that the EPS on other cars allow for a bit more room for play, as where the EPS on the A3 seems to kick on if i so much as accidently fart. admittedly, if you're being stupid and take a turn too quickly, it's a life saver. but if you know what you're doing, it's a bit unnerving when the throttle becomes unresponsive mid turn and the car starts pulling in directions you didn't intend it to. best to just turn the thing completely off and take control i guess.

zipping in and out of commuter traffic is fun in this thing. enough power to get around but not too much where you're stomping on the brakes all the time. i now understand the appeal of the I-5 mission viejo craziness from the last irvine meet

Tsunami,

I totally agree with you. I now turn off my ESP every time I start the car. The good thing is that the ESP will kick back in if you push the car to the extremes. I believe that is where the default setting should be and the control to turn it off, should fully turn it off and not just adjust the limits. Now you should drive one of our chipped cars and the appeal of the A3 improves tremendously. Unfortunately, a little modding will cause you to want the bigger brakes. Too bad you had to pony up and buy the big dog. Might have been happier with a well modded A3?

As for all of you freebie naysayers, all you have to do is ask. I have no special talent or skill, only that I look for the deals and always try and bargin through every transaction. It works most of the time. Give it a try! We do live in a capitalistic society, so why not function on that level?

Cheers!
