Well.....that was a big fat waste of time.
I don't have ramps so I was planning on using jackstands.
Well, since I don't have a REAL jack, I had to use the Audi equipped version.
That thing is friggin' scary. I'm amzed that it can even get the car off the ground.

I lifted one side, put a jackstand in, went to the other side, put the other one in, and they weren't giving me enough clearance.
Since I'm not looking to be on the news tonight, I decided not to take a chance of using the audi jack and re-raising it higher.

I dropped the car back down, detailed it, cleaned the engine bay, swept my garage out, hung a tennis ball for parking and called it a day.

Fuq.

If I go get ramps and try again, I'll have to wait a few hours for the turbo to completely cool down before I give it another go.
This job will wait until tomorrow, or it might not happen at all. (By me anyways)

***EuroAudi - FWD, RWD, AWD, it's all the same as far as I understand. What a sway bar will do for you in real-world terms (by just adding the rear) is let you turn deeper in corners.
It basically makes the car feel more like a RWD, where you get deeper into a turn, point the car, and hit the gas. In the stock mode, you have to take the turn in a more controlled and even fashion.

The sway bar will benefit a FWD car a lot more as it reduces understeer the most. In RWD cars, a swar bar isn't really that much benefitial since RWD tend to have a lot of over steer. Bottom line, a sway bar will help, not hurt. There's an article that explains its workings stuff... I'll look for it and post back

Let me know if you need some help. I never did a DV install but I can help you out on the RSB.

I was just getting ready to take you up on the offer and realized that Mike at PureMS replied to my PM.
Let me check back here after I talk to him.

**Update.

Mike is going to take care of the sway installation for me on Sunday morning.

Awesome.

Jason, I'm not making the drive twice, so good luck with your trip to PureMS on Sat. and I'll see you at the next GTG.

Richard - Thanks for the offer, much appreciated!

Well.....since you asked.

*Still waiting for an update on when the testpipe can go in.
*Considering painting the calipers at the moment.
*Considering MC Hammered's gauge pod, for about 2+ weeks now.
*Trying to decide what to do with the front amber reflectors.
*Going to order a battery cover and then the cover for the right side of the engine bay.....eventually.
*Adding Audi caps to the valve stems.

The big stuff will have to wait until later. Wheels and dropping the ride height.
Those 2 purchases could get out of hand quickly, so I will be taking lots of time before I do them.

All of this is subject to change at a moment's (or a budget's) notice.

sorry I wont see you @ PureMS Jeff... My sister ditched me - so i'm stuck at PUREMS today w/ no ride while they
work on the car. [&:]

Shawn - You ALWAYS confuse me & Panda... i3uddha = Jason Panda = Cheng.
not that I mind, but I think Cheng might be a lil upset about being confused for me...[:'(]

Vince - THats great youve been mentioned in modified... now if we can just get some of their
models to show up & pose w/ our audis at our gtgs... why not build a Silvia for time attack
or better yet - an Audi!

Tsunami - weve posted links to the other model forums b-4.. I have been waiting to see some sick TTs...
