So, how about a 16v swap in the Rabbit... better yet, a 24v VR6 and six speed...

...and you also need to slam it, put it on some 15x8 (widened) steelies with stretched rubber. I'm sure everyone in the 'tex has told you that already though. Don't forget to paint it some really cool original VW color. Is it a swallowtail? I noticed its pre 83. 4 speed or 5 speed? Basically, pics please.

So what have you been doing on your time off from the forums? Hangin' out with ImolaS4?

The head is working out great (Craig sold me the aeb head for real cheap to help me out thanks again buddy!) I just replaced that one bent valve at work today.

As for the rabbit, its an 84 so no swallowtail, 5spd, 1.8l engine but non of that matters because its getting an aeb/holset/034efi set-up very similar to the audis with a syncro awd drivetrain. The motors goes in next month, the drivetrain goes in hopefully for h20 next year.

I thought it had 2 bent valves. You may want to take another look.

Sounds like a good plan for the Rabbit, Tom. How difficult is the swap? I've tossed around the idea of getting a diesel rabbit (CA emissions exempt) to do a swap on - probably not a 1.8T swap, more likely a 2.0 16v.
