shtift kits for automatic trans are they reliable to keep the trany in good condition or dose it put more wear on the trany??????
AND how much dose it realy help for us auto guys

yea like rebuilt but wit stonger and better stuff on the inside buti don't know if it hurts or is bettter for the long haul

the only upgrade i know of is switching a 1.8T tranny to a 2.8.
I've heard of some cars having the solenoids and springs replaced... but i havn't heard anything of audis doing this... nor do i think there's much benefit. if you're wanting your tranny upgraded... you chip it

i got a 1997 2.8 is there a chip for it plus i am not realy thinking about doining it inless i need it but i am not pushing that kinda of hp buti was just wondering

GIAC has one but i havn't really heard anything about it. $250 isn't bad if it has noticible gains. I can see more agressive shifts being a lot of fun, but I don't know what you're gonna see on the 1/4 mile.

those chips only help wit shifting they dont strengthen anything

i know but when u strengthen it dose it cause more wear cause of the harder shifts and all.

true our auto trannies are weak shiits and quicker shifting will put some stress on everything

thats my point i hear its good for certain cars i was just wondering if i were to do that to an audi would it mess it up more then it woudl help it. it confusing lol
