I always shift between 2500-3000 rpm, is that too soon? But except the first gear though...I pulled up to 5000RPM and shift to second gear, am I loosing power?

We are talking about like for drag racing, not day to day driving.

Around 5800, gas to the floor, and ready to shift again as that puppy climbs quick through 1st, 2nd, and into 3rd.

Roger that...I guess for my skill, I'm too early to talk about drag racing, I'm still having problem going on smooth in first gear, any suggestions on that...

Just be real smooth on the clutch till you get used to it, after I while you will learn to know exactly where the friction point on the clutch is. You'll get the smoothest driving if you aren't going to 5k rpms in 1st every time you come from a stop light. Just make your goal to drive so smooth the only way people can tell you are shifting without looking is by the engine note.
