Agreed, but look on that power curve where I end up when I shift at 6500 to the next gear and am already hitting 3700 or so as I tromp on the gas pedal.

Thats my point, is that when I hit the next gear the rpms are higher than if I had shifted at 5k. So I am running through each gear from near 4k to 6.5k, which gets things moving down the road pretty fast!

But the only way to know for sure, of course, is for you (onepointeightee) and I to get up to the track with Arif and take a few runs! Then we can try each method out, and see what really happens where it matters, our real times flying down the road.

To me, It feels like I am getting more out of it this way, but the only way to know for sure is to track it.

Arif, or others that track their cars, where do you shift (of course Arif has a BT, so that changes the power curve a little - lol)? Anyone out there that is chipped, where do you shift to get the best time down the track?
I am wanting answers from folks that have done this on the track, with numbers to back it up.

I wouldnt shift any later than 5500 rpm's with a k03 or k04. With a BT, I would shift at redline.
