hey guys i need your help. my shifter has something loose. when im in drive my shifter is very loose and can move into triptronic w/o me activating it. i was wondering if i was missing like a pin or somthing. even when i go left it automatically shifts into triptronic. i usually put a card or something in the way of it to stay into drive. if anyone can help me i would appreciate it.

Sounds like the magnet in the shifter assembly has come loose. You have to take it apart to realign them. If you search for "tiptronic magnet" you'll probably find a bit more detail...

 

ive already changed the mat w/ the magnetic pieces. it seems like a pin or something is brokn.
