Went to the dealership to inquire about new shocks. I want to change from the red performance shock i have to regular ride shocks. He said there was no difference as far as he could tell and said they were the same shock. He went on further saying that the springs are what is making the difference. True or False?

ps. I have reason to believe he's wrong because hes been wrong before.

 

he's wrong, they are definitely different. i suggest finding yourself a new parts guy

red shocks are stiffer dampners. they go with stiffer springs. altho u wonw't feel much of a difference, if u put stiff springs and soft shocks, this gives u a bouncy ride. AKA riceboy civic. lol but with stock sport spring rates, it wown't really bounce, just wown't handle as good as with preformance shocks. they'll work. just not as good.

 

y not just go with bilstein sport or hd's? they r like 100 a peice shipped on ebay. stocks r prolly exp at teh dealer?
