I am going to be buying a 96-98 audi a4. should I buy the 1.8T or 2.8. I dont plan on modding it as I want a nice reliable car with decent gas mileage.

should I go with the quattro or no? I do drive in snow as well

2.8 quattro for reliability and four wheel drive goodness...

 

so 2.8 or any of the v6 version on the a4 is more reliable compare to the the 1.8t ?

 

def get the 2.8, maybe even a 12v for the most reliable, and of course get Quattro

 

you can go with 2.8 quattro.

Don't forget! I don't want you to cry here later on saying that you cannot mod your car [8D]

engine mods is not really nessesary i want nice car to court girls.. haha jk but my toy is a r32 gtr.. note: my location im in australia.. i moved here from the US.. so v6 audi a4 is more reliable.. thats good is there anything i should check or maintainance requirement i should do before buying and after buying? sry mate didnt mean to jack your thread but i'm too is looking to buy an audi a4.

 

timing belt......make sure it has been changed.....about a 1000 dollars to do it.

 

suspension and trans? and here in australia we have 2.6 v6 also is that just as good as the 2.8?

 

I'll just go against everyone else, I have a 1.8T so I say go for it. Everyone and there mom has the 2.8 , be a man and get a turbo. A lot more fun and joy for you. Just don't overdo your fun and you'll be fine. I have the quattro as well, very nice!
