Should I buy it?

Should I buy it?
My Husband and I are looking for a new car. We have a Ford Escape now, and he has some old Junker he wants to trade in. We went shopping with no specific vehicle in mind we were waiting for something to catch his eye in our price range. The only thing he liked is a 99Lexus RX 300 and the 00 Grand Cherokee Limited and a 00 Audi A4.
I only really know much about Audi's I always thought of them as a "higher class" car but now that I am researching them there seems to be a lot issues with them. I am also a little scared about buying it because of the mileage on it 100,000. I am not comfortable with these high miles BUT if it was a Honda I wouldn't be concerned. I am not sure if it will be when I get past the 100s.. any feedback would be appreciated.
Ohh and the sticker price (WA state) is $9,900..

RE: Should I buy it?
I sold my 00 for 11k 6 months or so ago in PA and it had 103k miles on it. Granted it was mechanically perfect and the interior was flawless, had a new coat of paint essentially from the windows down.
Just to give you some perspective. If the car was maintained well, ovet 100k wont matter to much. If it was beaten to death, or poorly maintained it'll cost you a butt load of cash to maintain. It's really a crap shoot, you may want to find a decent german auto tech to take a look at the car and let you know what is wrong (if anything) with it and negotiate price accordingly

audi are not as relaibe as honda or toyotas but they are 10 times more reliable then any thing that any american auto company makes but it is also like any used car if it was maintain right it will treat you right but if someone lagged on maintance then it will have it's issues. i would on any used car have a tech that i know and trust look at it and get a car fax and lastly never buy from a dealer that does not have a on site tech. but thats just me im kinda pickey when it comes to cars [:-]

Brand names don't equal quality. It all comes down to how well the car was maintained. My aunt had a 93 Honda Accord with 140k on it. It leaked oil everywhere and finally bit the dust. My Taurus has 149k on it (original transmission) and it runs like a champ. Granted the engine was made by Yamaha, but the point is... if a car is treated well it will treat you in kind.
