I would in a heartbeat, as long as its not your daily driver.

For a DD I love the audi.

I think the Lotus would be great for the track / occasional driving, definitely not for everyday. Its a purpose-built vehicle without much creature-comfrt.

Yep, most 19 year olds would be hard pressed to afford an Audi, much less a Lotus.

OKAY:

Performance wise the Lotus BLOWS ANY A4 out of the water (up to a certain point) Since it's mid-engined, and the good version packs something like 200CHP in a car that weighs ~ 2000lbs, it's fast.

Comfort/Styling/Practicality
The A4 blows ANY Lotus out of the water. You also get the comfort of AWD with the A4 which makes it an awesome four season car. You will also get comfort features like more room. The Exige, IIRC is the "touring" version. I think a lot of people maybe confusing the Exige with the other little LotusElise.

The bottom line:

If you want to "trade up" to an expensive car which has decent reliability buy a STi, Evo (latest), or S4/S6/RS4/RS6 or the S8.

I personally would not buy the Lotus Exige, it's too impractical of a car.

Some peoplewish they had an exotic car so bad they would actually put S4 badges on their 12v 2.8's
