my owner's manual says to use DOT 4 brake fluid that meets SAE specification J 1703 and conforms to federal motor vehicle standard 116.

don't use DOT 5. it is not compatible with the audi braking system.

Things like oils and coolant are cheaper and more convenient at the dealership if you consider the shipping charge and wait time.

Mineral based PS fluid, called C11 I believe.
Any import shop, or dealer, will have it.

Go to a VW dealer for the power steering fluid.
