No toes stpped on, just a little fun. You can probably tell, but I too have a B5. A 2000 1.8tq. JMG's got some great pics, I like the first two especially. in9007, have you decided what particulars you are looking for in a B5? My engine choice, of course, is the 1.8t. It's a blast to drive and easily modified. You can get either the 1.8t or the 2.8 with or without quattro, but quattro makes a huge difference in performance. It's better off the line, in the snow, and even on dry pavement. But if you buy an A4 without it it'll save you some money. Shoot back a reply with more specifically what you are looking for and I'm sure we can point out some mods you'll like. Welcome to the forum! I probably should have said that after my smartass post. lol Anyway, do you have your eye on a particular car, or just starting to look?

by the way - the real and official designation for the "B6" chassis is the "8E".

yeah, I've seen it called both. It seems like most like to call it the B6 cuz it's a natural progression from B4 and B5. I couldn't tell you what's correct. I think it's just a matter of opinion.

oh yeah, I'm not quite sure why we got so focused on the B6/8E cuz there really isn't any way to make a B5 look like it. It's too different.

Yeah... I hear that. An d I have all due respect for everyone's personal preference.

Me... I'm a B5 fan. I don't like the rear end of the B6.

But that's what's so great about life - choices!
