Sludge Problem

Hi guys, I've read several threads about sludge problems. How can I determine if I have sludge??? Thanks in advance!

easiest way...
look under the oil fill cap thing, if there is some sludge or nasty stuff on there then you have sludge..
to help get rid of it, use full synthetic oil every 3-5k miles and seafoam it...
