When i changed my oil i looked around and couldnt see anything unfortunitly i have a 3.0 and the engine bay is cramped as hell i didnt have the best vantage point for looking at everythign only had it up about 12 inches to do the oil. Any one with a 3.0 can tell me a way to look at this stuff with my huge a*s engine

the black plastic coolant flange (what audi calls it)that bolts to the back of the engine is typically a common problem on aeb b5's. either it cracks or the o-rings give out. it will give you a faint smell and no smoke. this is what your hose connects to and it also carries the sensor. it is not very expensive about $30. the only thing is that the stdealer may tell you that you cannot get both o-rings, but if you raise enough h_ll they'll find one somewhere in the back.
