i want to smoke my stock tail lights. in the process of blacking out my car. the guy that tinted my windows said he could do it. but he has no idea what percentage tint to film on there. i dont know what is too dark and whatisnt dark enough. has anyone done this. any suggestions.... or pics. pls post. thanks

 

see if u can get some spare piece of tint from him and put it up to the tails. i guess u want the tints to be removable. when i do mine, i'll just spray them. i won't have to wry bout wut tints lol. u can always take the spray of by buffint it

 

spary would be better, you can go coat by coat, until you think they are dark enough

Niteshade its a tint, yo can get it at the hobby store or online VT Nightshades

 

The best stuff to tint your lights is avalible at any hobby store. Go in and tell the person working you want to tint the window on you rc car. They will give you a litle tiny can and it costs 6.00. It will be enough for plenty of lights; a 1/4 can painted all the lights on my friends 328 BMW. It gives the best results and is the easiest to reverse should you need to. I have used both this product and nightshades. Lets just say I will never use nightshades again.

 

i went to my local hobby stor (HobbyTown USA), and bought "transparent black, window tint", that exactly what it says on the top, and its one of those small model car spray cans. at first it looks wayyy too black but it's not to dark after it completely dries... MAKE SURE YOU CLEAR COAT...it WILL flake if not clear coated
