Snow in the Bay Area!!!
Hi,
So it snowed here in the San Francisco Bay Area at low elevations. This is the first time I drove on snow in the A4 Quattro...it doesn't handle as well as I thought, but still did a really good job. I loved seeing how when we get a little snow, Californians have no idea how to drive. Kudos to everyone that lives in snowy states.

My mom works at a hospital in Redwood City (SF Bay) and she said that there was an inch of snow last night. Anyone hear about that huge accident? 2 people died, 28 car pileup.
If I was driving around in the snow, I would probably be sideways and sliding, but it wouldn't be an accident

Is there an echo in here? LOL.
Snow in San Fran... That's crazy. I went up there with a couple of friends about 4 months ago and loved it. The weather was perfect. Pretty damn fun town to party in. A friend of mine is absolutely loaded and he got us in VIP to a place called the Redwood Room. It was an awesome spot. Never been anywhere like it.

I heard it snowed in malibu...1.5 in. Now being a east coast guy I thought thats was supposed to be a warm part of cali? the west is getting snow but here in md our blizzard snow melted completly with our 70+ degree days. Now I wanna test the quattro out in the snow and compare it to the viscous lsd system thats in my DSM.

Yeah it hailed a little on the beach here in SLO, CA. We have not had rain or we could get snow :-( It is below 30 ouside.
I would believe the Malibu foothills got some snow.
How can these people drive that bad? I mean I can't drive well in the snow (as a californian), but I can drive.
The funny ones are the 4 wheel drives in that pic like the subaru... I mean all those cars were 4X4 or front wheel drive except the taxi cab.
Poor performance of the A4 for you CaliA4 is probably because no one in California has all weather or snow tires, it is all summer and performance. That and our pavements are not built for snow (no gravel coat) And I just have to ask, what were you expecting, to be able to do the regular 65, or to drive it like a snowy day?

Naturally, we are just not used to driving around in snow...and probably not alot of people have AWD or snow tires cruising in California (unless you live in Tahoe or Mammoth). I live in the South Bay and I was stuck in San Jose since highway 17 was closed.
