SNOWFLAKE on at +40F ????

good info to know, i was also wondering about that in today's weather, just why does it go away below 16*? Seems kinda stupid.

i know it lets me know that ice can be forming and stuff, its just that i wasnt sure if it was a malfunction or if it was programmed that way. [>:]

Snow and ice are very slippery when melting. The pressure from the tires can melt the surface below 20 degrees.

I think the sensor spits the snowflake below 41º. Don't think it's a problem.

It means... the ice maker in the trunk is up and running - and if you need ice it's there...

That is odd though.... So they're supposed to do that?

I know in my car (I'm in Canada) it comes on at +5 degrees and goes off at -5 degrees... water freezes at 0... so it is just letting you know when there is a danger of ice. If it's any colder, you should already know... and don't need the damned snowflake staring at you while you drive.

i think it goes off at 16 because if you can't tell that there's ice on the roads at 16 degrees, you're probably dead.
